With its diverse collection of real creatures, it’s no surprise Zoo Knoxville has plenty of Pokemon, too.

The zoo is holding a “Pokemon Go” week from Monday, Aug. 1-Sunday, Aug. 7, and offering discounts to attendees who have the popular augmented reality mobile game, according to the event’s Facebook page.

“Pokemon Go” players who show that they have the mobile game at the zoo ticket windows will receive a $10 discount on zoo admission for each member in their party. The “Pokemon Go” promotion cannot be combined with other discounts.

Zoo Knoxville has several Pokemon, 15 Pokestops and three Pokemon Gyms and will drop lures throughout each day of the week during the event, according to the event page.

The zoo is asking players to stay on its public pathways while hunting for Pokemon and to check out its real animals, shows and keeper chats while taking breaks from the game.

Zoo Knoxville is open from 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
